Earthship Biotecture in New Mexico

An Earthshp is a passive solar home made of natural and recycled materials using thermal mass construction for temperature stabilization. Renewable energy and integrated water catchment system make the Earthship an off grid home with little or no utility bill. I can't think of a better use for old tires and beer cans.

Bring the outdoors in.

The south facing greenhouse windows allow you to grow some amazing things. This is at 8500 feet with only 9 inches of rainfall per year.

This is the view from our guest house bed room, towards the greenhouse. We are grateful to our hosts in New Mexico for an enlightening and educational experience.
